In my mind, Ms. Alba can do no wrong, and this persimmon look is right
on target. A lovely pop of vibrant colour on the lips, matte yet creamy,
lights up her face. Full lashes, groomed brows and the perfect warm
flush finish the look to perfection. She looks effortless yet
glamourous, a hard combination to pull off. Here are some of the
products I would choose to re-create this look:
There are so many amazing formulas on the market right now, why not try
something new. Above are my three picks for lip colour that is pigmented
and creamy, but has staying power. I say skip the gloss, which can be
messy anyways, and opt for a vibrant pout that springs your look
forward. OCC has a plethora of colours to choose from, but my pick is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture #8 Orange De Chine. Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Tangerine by Hourglass rounds out my top three.
For blusher, I love that she chose a satin semi-matte colour- overall I like how there is very little shimmer in this look. It is more modern and wearable, especially if you are over 25. I would go with something like Illamasqua's Honey Beige powder blush. It would also look great in the crease, warming up the eyes. Lashes are full and healthy looking. I would opt for Benefit's individual lashes, building them up on the outer corners. Then apply a mascara that doesn't harden them, but keeps that bushy & soft look, like Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara.
