Whether you are doing your own makeup for your wedding day or having a professional tend to all your beauty wishes and desires, there is something to be said for doing your due diligence when it comes to bridal beauty. Here are some of my top picks for bridal makeup from my makeup kit:
1. Omega Eye Shadow by MAC
From the lightest to the darkest, this eye shadow has a a way of likening itself to any brow colour. Obviously, for super strong or dark toned brows, one would use something stronger, but for seamless, lightweight definition, Omega is where it's at. One of the key features of this colour is that it has no red in it, it defines and sculpts brows without adding a lot of colour, giving a natural but defined effect in photos. Perfect for brides!
2. Orgasm Blush by NARS
This peachy toned blush is flattering on an array of different skin tones and has great lasting power. The gold shimmer running through it is very flattering and adds to that bridal glow. Layer it over a cream for maximum staying power.
3. Teddy Eyeliner by MAC
This chocolate brown pencil is a bit of a cult favourite, but I have loved it since makeup school. It never disappoints, and is great on blonds, redheads and brunettes. For after the wedding day, smudge it all over the lid for a sexy smoky eye on your honeymoon.
4. Dolce Vita Lipstick by NARS
The perfect brownish-pink, this lip colour is a favourite amongst makeup artists, and for good reason. Use it as a stain, and your lips will look full and flushed, but like you were born that way. Not drying, but long lasting. Pop it on the cheeks as a cream blush too.
5. Nylon Eyeshadow by MAC
One of if not the best inner eye highlighters out there. A little goes a long way, but the effect is ethereal and enlivened eyes. The eyes have it, and a small amount of highlight
Bonus: MAC Reflects Glitter in Pearl
Rarely do I leave this out of any bridal look- this glitter is the icing on the cake of a extra-special bridal look. Just pat it on top of your eyeshadow for a little extra bling!
