I chose Taylor Swift because she really rocks the red lip, something that every woman can do. She also rocks a matte red lip much of the time, which I really love. She saves the sparkle for her eyes and keeps the rest of her makeup flawless but not over done. She knows her face and works her features to their best- and that's something we could all learn from Ms. Swift.
Taylor knows she has a beautiful lip shape, and she shows it. Matte lipstick formulas these days are quite moisturizing and long-lasting. My two picks for this look are the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Stain in Hot Pepper 03 and the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red 01.
For a flawless glowing complexion like Taylor's, cheat your age and use some NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. It's buildable but still quite natural looking on the skin. Set your makeup into place with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish powder, just to add a touch more glow.
For blush, a red based blush compliments a red lip very well- I would go for Frankly Scarlet by MAC. Apply very little product to start with, as you only need a small amount of this product.
For the eyes- the Naked 1 Palette by Urban Decay is where it's at. A great range of neutrals, golds and bronzes which Taylor usually wears. There is also a black shadow you can use for liner. Finish the eyes with a great volumizing mascara like Lash Blast by CoverGirl.
